Match the Waveform to Stems

With stem playback enabled, the waveform updates with the current mix to help you inspect the part you are hearing.

Adjustments That Change the Waveform

Mute, solo, volume, Pan, and per-stem Mono affect the stem mix's envelope. The changed waveform may make an instrument's attacks and dynamics easier to see.

The waveform does not include all playback processing. Whole-track channel selection happens afterward; switching to Left Channel, Right Channel, or Mono does not redraw it as the final output.

Compare with the Sound

Disc or waveform scrubbing uses the current stem mix. Disable stem playback to compare with the original. Restoring all four stems to defaults does not recreate the original recording.
